There are some historic flaws in how we pick juries

For this video for the Vox.com video team, the script required the visualization of people who are more than generic pegs or dots. A juror’s race is a consideration in the jury selection process as well as the perceived fairness of a trial when the race of the defendants is part of the complaint. The skin tone and presentation of each character drawn for this video was carefully considered.
